Terms of Service
Effective May 25, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Grams for the Fam service operated by DollarUp, LLC ("we," "us," "our") at gramsforthefam.com. By placing an order, you agree to them.
Short version: don't submit content you don't have the right to use, don't use the service to harass anyone, and we'll print and mail your postcard. If something goes wrong on our end, we'll make it right.
The service
Grams for the Fam is a postcard printing and mailing service based in Pennsylvania. We print every card on premium archival paper on our own printers and drop it in the mail ourselves. We currently ship to US addresses only (50 states).
We aim to print and mail every order within 24 hours of payment. USPS delivery typically takes 3–5 business days. Those are estimates, not guarantees — once a card leaves our hands, delivery timing is USPS's.
Your content
You are responsible for everything you submit: the photo, message text, voice note, and any card page media. By submitting content, you represent that:
- You have the right to use and reproduce the photo (e.g., you took it, or you have permission from whoever did)
- The content doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights
- The content doesn't include nudity, explicit material, hate speech, threats, or anything illegal
- You have the consent of any people depicted in the photo to use their image this way
You grant us a limited license to print, store, and display your content as necessary to fulfill your order and operate the card page. We don't claim ownership of your photo or voice note.
Payments and refunds
Payment is processed by Stripe. Current pricing is listed at gramsforthefam.com and may change; the price shown at checkout is what you pay.
Cancellations: We can cancel and fully refund an order if you contact us within approximately one hour of payment and the card hasn't entered the print queue yet. Email us at [email protected] immediately — we move fast.
Our errors: If a card is returned to us by USPS due to a bad address that passed our verification, we'll offer a full refund or a free reprint to a corrected address — your choice. If we made a printing error (wrong photo, unreadable content, damaged card), we'll reprint and reship at no cost.
Undeliverable mail: If USPS returns a card due to an address that failed to receive mail for reasons outside our control (recipient moved, mailbox full, etc.), we'll notify you and offer a 50% credit toward a reprint.
We don't offer refunds for cards that were printed and shipped correctly but the recipient didn't like, wasn't home, or you simply changed your mind after the card left our hands.
Prohibited uses
You may not use Grams for the Fam to:
- Send harassing, threatening, or abusive content to a recipient
- Send content depicting minors in any sexual context
- Send unsolicited commercial content (spam postcards)
- Impersonate another person in the sender name or message
- Submit fraudulent payment information
- Attempt to circumvent address rate limits or other abuse protections
We review every photo before printing. We reserve the right to cancel any order at our discretion and issue a full refund if we find submitted content violates these terms or is something we're not comfortable printing and mailing from our home.
The card page
Each card includes a QR code that links to a public card page. That page lets the recipient save the photo to their phone, read the message, and play the voice note if one was recorded.
The card page remains live as long as the card record exists in our system. If you want the page taken down, contact us and we'll remove it — the QR code on the physical card will become a dead link, but the card itself is already in someone's home.
Voice and video notes
Voice notes recorded during the order flow and any card page audio/video submitted by recipients are stored on Cloudflare R2. These are kept indefinitely so the recipient can replay them. See our Privacy Policy for deletion options.
Reporting abusive content
There's a "Report" button on every card page. If you receive a card with abusive, threatening, or inappropriate content, use it or email us at [email protected]. We take these reports seriously. We'll review and, if warranted, delete the content, refund the sender, and block them from future orders.
Giveaways
We run periodic giveaways (Free Card Friday and similar programs). Each giveaway has its own rules posted on Instagram. General rules: no purchase necessary, open to US residents, one entry per person per week unless otherwise stated. Giveaways are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta.
Intellectual property
The Grams for the Fam name, logo, and site design are ours. Don't use them without permission. Your photos and voice notes are yours — we just have a license to use them to fulfill your order and run the card page.
Limitation of liability
We're a small family operation. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific order that caused the claim. Some states don't allow these limitations — in those states, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll update the effective date at the top. For material changes, we'll notify recent customers by email.
